The Reverend Cory L. Kemp

The Rev. Cory L. Kemp is the creator and founder of Creating Women Ministries (http://www.creatingwomenministries.com), provider of study tools, programming resources and coaching plans designed to grow faith and strengthen spiritual community.

Rev. Kemp grew up on Wisconsin's Door Peninsula as a member of the Moravian Church, and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1976. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay in 1980 with a double major in Social Change and Development/ Communication and the Arts and a minor in Women's Studies. She received her Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministry from Moravian Theological Seminary, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1983, and was awarded the Henry Gerdsen Book Award for "creativity and achievement in seminary studies, worship leadership and community action," as well as being named Outstanding Moravian Woman Graduate.

Rev. Kemp was ordained a deacon of the Moravian Church in 1984 and has served as pastor and in educational ministries with both Moravian and United Church of Christ congregations.

Currently residing in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her beloved cats, Rev. Kemp enjoys travel, biking, hiking and, best of all, good coffee and conversation with friends. You Don't See Many Chickens in Clearance: Essays on Faith and Living is her first published book.
